Andreas Ehrenreich is a Research Associate in the Department of Music, Media and Speech Studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. He holds degrees in German Philology and Theatre, Film and Media Studies from the University of Vienna. Before coming to Halle, Andreas did research and taught at the universities of Graz, Mannheim, Sheffield Hallam and Vienna. From 2017 until 2018 he was a Fellow at the Austrian Historical Institute in Rome. His research is published in journals like Bianco e Nero, Cine-Excess and Schermi. Furthermore, Andreas is a reviewer for Cinergie, the Journal of Italian Cinema and Media Studies, L’avventura and Open Screens. Currently he works on a project about the Italian film industry and the giallo genre of the 1960s and 1970s.
