Übersicht
Kurzbiografie
Alessandra Eramo ist eine in Berlin lebende Klangkünstlerin und Vokalistin die mit Performance und Installation, Lautpoesie und Radiokunst, Video und Zeichnung arbeitet, und latente akustische Territorien der menschlichen Stimme und des Lärms als gesellschaftspolitische Materie erforscht. Mit interdisziplinären Ansätzen entwickelt sie künstlerische Projekte und Live-Performances, die sich mit Fragen des Körpers, des Gedächtnisses, der Sprache und der Identität befassen und häufig partizipative Aktionen und experimentelle Methoden in der Komposition anwenden. Im Kern ihrer Praxis steht die Erweiterung der Stimme in verschiedenen klanglichen und visuellen Kontexten, wobei sie die Grenzen von Genres und Traditionen überschreitet. Aktueller Schwerpunkt ihrer Recherche ist die Materialität der Stimme, die Spannung zwischen Stimme und Schrift, performative Rituale und tranceähnliche Zustände im Gesang.
Seit früher Jugend ausgebildet in klassischem Gesang, Klavier, Solfeggio und Musiktheorie in Tarent und Mailand. Studium an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart und an der Kunstakademie Brera in Mailand - Schwerpunkte: Intermediale Kunst, Performance, Klangkunst, gefolgt von einem Masterabschluss in Performance Studies an der Fakultät für Philosophie und Wissenschaftstheorie der Universität Ca' Foscari Venedig.
Neben ihrer solistischen künstlerischen Produktion, arbeitet Eramo als Sängerin mit vielen renommierten Komponist*innen, Filmemacher*innen, Choreograph*innen und Dichter*innen zusammen, darunter Merche Blasco, Ute Wassermann, Anna Clementi, Lorena Izquierdo, Davide Tidoni, Maria Iorio & Raphaël Cuomo, Zorka Wollny, Brandon LaBelle, Zosha Di Castri, Ines Lechleitner, Irena Tomažin, Steffi Weismann, Tomomi Adachi, Seiji Morimoto. Seit 2021 ist Eramo Teil des Böseblick Ensemble für Elektronische Musik mit Korhan Erel, Ariel W. Orah und Kirsten Reese.
